J&hl=en&oi=ao) from the [Biomedical Engineering Institute of Kaunas Univer
sity of Technology](https://biomedicine.ktu.edu/) will present about “De
tection of individual triggers of paroxysmal atrial fibrillation using wea
rable devices”.\n\nBio: Andrius Petrėnas is the head of the Laboratory
of Biosignal Analytics and a senior researcher at the Biomedical Engineeri
ng Institute of Kaunas University of Technology\, Lithuania. He also serve
s as an associate professor at the Faculty of Electrical and Electronics E
ngineering at Kaunas University of Technology. His main research interest
is the development and investigation of biosignal processing and machine l
earning algorithms for wearable-based cardiac disease monitoring. A. Petr
ėnas’ research\, notably on atrial fibrillation modeling\, detection\,
and characterization\, has earned recognition. He was a laureate for the B
est Doctoral Thesis of Lithuania (2015) for his dissertation “Detection
of brief episode atrial fibrillation\,” a recipient of the Kazickas Fami
