DESCRIPTION:The Capture the Flag (CTF) Hackathon 2025\, organised by the IE
EE Student Branch of PES University Electronic City Campus in celebration
of IEEE Day\, was held from 5:00 PM on 17th October to 11:00 AM on 18th Oc
tober 2025 at the MRD Student Centre\, PESU EC Campus. The overnight cyber
security event offered participants a competitive platform to test their h
 acking skills\, logical thinking\, and problem-solving abilities.\n\nThe e
vent featured a wide range of CTF challenges across domains such as crypto
 graphy\, reverse engineering\, web exploitation\, steganography\, OSINT\,
and network security. Each challenge contained a hidden flag that particip
ants had to uncover to score points. A total of 220 participants across 60
teams took part in the competition\, actively engaging throughout the nig
ht to climb the scoreboard.\n\nThe event was conducted under the guidance
and support of Dr. Farida Begam M\, Branch Counsellor of IEEE PESU EC Stud
ent Branch. The organizing team consisted of 6 core committee members and
roughly 45 volunteers\, who ensured seamless coordination and round-the-cl
ock management of the event.\n\nWe were delighted to welcome chief guest D
 r. Shylashree N (Joint Secretary\, IEEE Bangalore Section). She inspired u
s with insights into cybersecurity and networking challenges and encourage
d students to explore IEEE membership and its advantages.\n\nParticipants
were provided with dinner\, midnight snacks\, and breakfast to keep them e
nergised throughout the hackathon. The competitive atmosphere\, combined w
ith hands-on cybersecurity exposure\, made the event highly engaging and e
ducational. Teams demonstrated impressive determination as they attempted
increasingly complex challenges to capture flags and secure leaderboard po
 sitions.\n\nThe Capture the Flag Hackathon 2025 concluded successfully\, w
ith top-performing teams being awarded for their technical excellence and
strategic thinking. The event received highly positive feedback from parti
cipants and reinforced PESU EC’s growing culture of cybersecurity awaren
ess and technical innovation.\n\nRoom: Auditorium\, Bldg: MRD Student Cent
