 inar offers an integrated examination of forest fire dynamics in Central I
 ndia by combining geospatial analysis with socio-economic and cultural inq
 uiry. Drawing on two decades of satellite-based fire data alongside 402 ho
 usehold surveys\, interviews\, and ethnographic observations\, it investig
 ates how forest fires emerge\, who they affect\, and how communities perce
 ive and manage them. The seminar highlights key gaps between technocratic 
 fire management approaches and Indigenous knowledge systems\, showing how 
 remote sensing insights become more meaningful when paired with grounded c
 ommunity perspectives. The discussion underscores the importance of mixed-
 methods approaches in understanding the complex social–ecological realit
 ies of fire-prone landscapes.\n\nWe warmly invite all faculty members\, st
