DESCRIPTION:100 years of technology: from the invention of the transistor t
o Artificial Intelligence\n\nMany people do not know what it is\, and few
know that without it\, life (as we know it today) would not be possible. Y
et\, 100 years ago\, the protagonist of this event was invented: the trans
istor\, a tiny component that forms the chips that support our digital liv
es.\nThe rapid evolution of transistors has even made Artificial Intellige
nce possible\, an increasingly central tool in everyday life\, which raise
s questions about its potential future developments\, the actual energy co
nsumption it entails and the underlying geopolitical balances.\n\nNANOREVO
LUTION is an event organised by the Department of Information Engineering
to discuss these issues and understand together the prospects for this tin
y revolutionary object\, the transistor. The event\, open to all citizens\
