DESCRIPTION:The Women in Engineering student affinity group\, IEEE Student 
 Branch\, Women Empowerment Cell and NSS-YRC Unit and IEEE SIGHT of Shri Ma
 dhwa Vadiraja Institute of Technology and Management (SMVITM)\, Bantakal\,
  have jointly organized a community radio program called “Vijnana Vismay
 a” on 05 November 2025 in the institute premises.\n\nThe program was gra
 ced by Dr. Rashmi Ammembala\, Assistant Professor &amp; Coordinator of Radio M
 anipal (CRS)\, Manipal Institute of Communication\, MAHE\, Manipal\, who s
 erved as the Chief Guest.\n\nIn her inaugural address\, Dr. Rashmi Ammemba
 la emphasized the importance of community participation and inclusion in c
 ommunication. She highlighted that community radio serves as a bridge conn
 ecting people\, knowledge\, and culture\, empowering local voices to share
  ideas and bring social awareness. Dr. Rashmi inspired students to explore
  creative communication platforms and contribute meaningfully to the commu
 nity through innovative programs.\n\nThe event was presided over by Dr. Na
 garaj Bhat\, In-charge Principal and Dean (Academics)\, SMVITM. In his pre
 sidential remarks\, Dr. Bhat appreciated the initiative taken by the insti
 tute to launch a community radio-based learning program and commended the 
 efforts of faculty coordinators and students in conceptualizing and organi
 zing Vijnana Vismaya. He remarked that such initiatives foster communicati
 on skills\, confidence\, and a sense of social responsibility among studen
 ts.\n\nThe ceremony was attended by Dr. Nagaraja Rao\, IEEE Branch Counsel
 or\, Ms. Megha Rani\, Assistant Professor (Senior)\, Department of AI &amp; ML
  and Coordinator\, Women Empowerment Cell (WEC)\; Mr. Sachin Prabhu\, Assi
 stant Professor (Selection Grade)\, Department of ECE and Coordinator\, NS
 S/YRC\; faculty members\; and students from various departments.\n\nThe ev
 ent concluded with a vote of thanks\, extending gratitude to the Chief Gue
 st\, dignitaries\, and all participants for making the program a success.\
 n\nThe “Vijnana Vismaya – Community Radio Program-Season 1” marks th
 e beginning of a new platform at SMVITM that aims to blend science communi
 cation with community engagement\, encouraging students to learn\, express
