DESCRIPTION:In this seminar I will discuss how dark-sectors and the axion-n
 eutrino connection can be the key in addressing the open problems in parti
 cle and astroparticle physics.\nIn the first part of the talk I will focus
  on the dark linear seesaw (Phys.Lett.B 843 (2023) 138012). We propose a n
 ovel neutrino mass generation framework where a dark sector\, containing v
 iable WIMP dark matter candidates\, generates small lepton number violatin
 g parameters triggering the low-scale linear seesaw mechanism. We study th
 e phenomenology regarding scalar dark matter and charged-lepton flavor-vio
 lation.\nThe second half of the presentation is about axion frameworks wit
 h color-mediated neutrino masses (Phys.Rev.Lett. 132 (2024) 5\, 051801 and
  arXiV: 2 501.13156 [hep-ph]). We propose a KSVZ-type axion framework in w
 hich vector-like quarks and colored scalars generate Majorana and Dirac ne
 utrino masses radiatively. The axion also accounts for the observed cosmol
 ogical dark matter. The framework predicts distinct axion-to-photon coupli
 ngs\, testable through haloscope and helioscope experiments\, as well as p
 otentially significant flavor-violating quark-axion interactions.\n\nHenri
