DESCRIPTION:. Session 1: Digital Twins .\n\nAs part of the Innosphere Virtu
al Summit 3.0\, our Student Branch Chapter collaborated with two Student B
ranch Chapters to host a specialized technical workshop on Digital Twins.
This session was the first in a three-part series.\n\nIn this first sessio
n\, we provided an exhaustive breakdown of Digital Twin technology\, ensur
ing participants understood both the theoretical architecture and the prac
tical industrial implementation.\n\nTechnical Core :\n\n- System Architect
ure: We explored the multi-dimensional model from the Physical Layer (sens
ors/data acquisition) to the Virtual Layer (3D modeling/simulation).\n\n-
Data Synchronization: We detailed the "Digital Thread" and the use of MQTT
and OPC UA protocols for real-time mirroring.\n\n- DT Lifecycle: We diffe
rentiated between Digital Twin Prototypes (DTP) for design and Digital Twi
n Instances (DTI) for live asset monitoring.\n\n- Applications: We analyze
d Predictive Maintenance and "What-if" scenario testing to optimize indust
rial performance without hardware risk.\n\nThis joint initiative successfu
lly unified three different student communities for this summit\, allowing
a high-level knowledge exchange and maximizing our reach within the IEEE
network.\n\nSpeaker(s): Oumayma Sghayri\, \n\nVirtual: https://events.vtoo
