DESCRIPTION:Overview\n\nTWISE Night 2025\, aligned with the European Resear
chers’ Night (ERN) initiative\, was held at the Institut National des Sc
iences Appliquées et de Technologie (INSAT)\, Tunis on 26 September 2025\
 , offering a dynamic\, interactive\, and public-oriented celebration of sc
ience\, innovation\, and research. This event forms part of a Europe-wide
initiative spanning over 400 sites in 25 countries and is funded under the
Horizon Europe programme — Marie Skłodowska-Curie Actions (MSCA) to pr
omote research awareness and public engagement with science.\n\nObjectives
\n\nThe event aimed to bring research and researchers closer to the genera
l public\, stimulating curiosity in scientific and technological fields th
 rough experiential learning\, interactive demonstrations\, debates\, and f
amily-friendly scientific activities. TWISE Night focuses on four principa
 l thematic pillars: health\, technology\, sustainable environment\, and so
cial sciences\, with the goal of enhancing public understanding of researc
h’s role in society and fostering inclusive science engagement.\n\nOrgan
izers and Partners\n\nTWISE Night was organized by the Association for Sci
entific Research and Innovation in Informatics (ARSII) in partnership with
the Association Recherche en Action (REACT) and supported by four Tunisia
n universities — University of Carthage\, University of Sousse\, Univers
ity of Sfax\, and University of Monastir — along with institutional part
ners including the European Union\, Ministry of Higher Education and Scien
tific Research\, and various scientific organizations.\n\nIEEE INSAT Stude
nt Branch Participation\n\nAs a key academic partner\, IEEE INSAT Student
Branch contributed to the success of TWISE Night 2025 through:\n\n- Organi
zational Support: IEEE INSAT SB collaborated with the event’s organizing
committee in the preparation and on-site coordination of activities\, ens
uring efficient execution of interactive zones and demonstrations.\n- Staf
fing and Facilitation: Members of IEEE INSAT SB staffed the venue througho
ut the duration of the event\, assisting visitors\, guiding participants t
hrough scientific experiences\, and supporting the logistical flow of pres
entations and activities.\n- Exhibition Booth: IEEE INSAT SB maintained a
dedicated booth at the event\, showcasing IEEE’s mission\, student branc
h activities\, and educational resources. The booth served as a platform t
o engage attendees\, explain IEEE’s role in innovation\, and foster conn
ections between future engineers and scientific communities.\n\nActivities
and Public Engagement\n\nTWISE Night offered a broad range of interactive
scientific experiences open to visitors of all ages. Participants engaged
with researchers and professionals through:\n\n- Interactive thematic sta
nds exploring key domains such as AI\, health technologies\, environmental
science\, and social impact research.\n- Live demonstrations and experime
nts\, which encouraged experiential learning and dynamic dialogue between
researchers and the public.\n- EU Corner and educational zones\, providing
insights into European research frameworks and opportunities for student
participation in transnational projects.\n\nImpact\n\nTWISE Night 2025 suc
cessfully fostered science-culture exchange between researchers and the Tu
nisian public\, enhancing research visibility and stimulating curiosity am
ong youth and adult audiences alike. With a festive atmosphere and interac
tive design\, the event reinforced Tunisia’s position as the only Africa
n host site for this Europe-wide scientific outreach initiative\, while st
rengthening academic collaboration and public understanding of innovation
’s societal role.\n\nIEEE INSAT SB’s participation amplified this impa
ct by presenting engineering and technology pathways\, strengthening stude
nt engagement in scientific communication\, and deepening connections betw
een IEEE and broader research ecosystems.\n\n676 Centre Urbain Nord BP\, T
