DESCRIPTION:The Workshop on Biomedical Signal Processing and Research Oppor
tunities was successfully organized by the IEEE EMBS CUET Student Branch C
hapter\, IEEE CUET Student Branch\, and IEEE WIE CUET Student Branch Affin
ity Group\, in collaboration with the CUET Biomedical Engineering Society.
The workshop was held on 28 October 2025 at 5:00 PM at Academic Building-
3\, Room No. 3108\, CUET.\n\nThe session featured Md. Zahid Hasan\, Resear
ch Assistant at the Department of Biomedical Engineering\, CUET\, as the s
peaker. The workshop focused on introducing participants to the fundamenta
ls of biomedical signal processing and highlighting current and future res
earch opportunities in this domain.\n\nThe speaker provided an overview of
biomedical signals such as ECG\, EEG\, and EMG\, followed by discussions
on signal acquisition\, preprocessing\, filtering\, and analysis technique
 s. Practical applications of biomedical signal processing in modern health
care systems and real-time health monitoring technologies were also discus
sed. Additionally\, the session offered guidance on research pathways\, sk
ill development\, and emerging trends in biomedical signal processing.\n\n
 Key Highlights:\n\n-\nIntroduction to biomedical signals (ECG\, EEG\, EMG\
, etc.)\n\n-\nFundamentals of biomedical signal acquisition and processing
\n\n-\nApplications of signal processing in healthcare technologies\n\n-\n
Overview of ongoing research areas in biomedical signal processing\n\n-\nF
uture trends and research opportunities in the field\n\nThe workshop concl
uded successfully with active participation and engagement from attendees.
The event contributed to enhancing students’ technical understanding an
d research awareness\, aligning with IEEE EMBS objectives of promoting edu
cation\, research\, and professional development in biomedical engineering
