DESCRIPTION:Event Overview\nOn December 9th\, IEEE Çankaya University Stud
ent Branch organized a technical visit to the Information and Communicatio
n Technologies Authority (BTK)\, the primary regulatory body for Turkey’
s digital and telecommunications infrastructure. This visit offered studen
ts a unique "behind-the-scenes" look at the management of national cyber d
efense and mobile communication systems.\n\nTechnical Highlights & Key Dep
artments\nThe visit focused on three core pillars of Turkey's technologica
l landscape:\n\nNational Cyber Incident Response Center (USOM): Participan
ts observed the 24/7 operations dedicated to protecting Turkey’s cybersp
ace. The session covered real-time monitoring of cyber threats and the act
ive processes involved in mitigating large-scale cyber attacks.\n\nCentral
Mobile Systems (MMS): An in-depth technical examination of the infrastruc
ture managing mobile communication traffic and the regulatory systems for
mobile device registration.\n\nBTK Academy: An exploration of the educatio
nal hub for software and emerging technologies\, highlighting available re
sources for students to enhance their technical skill sets through special
ized training programs.\n\nObjectives\nPractical Application: To witness t
he field application of cybersecurity and networking theories in a mission
-critical environment.\n\nInfrastructure Awareness: To understand the tech
nical requirements of maintaining national mobile and data networks.\n\nPr
ofessional Networking: To connect with industry experts and government off
icials who manage the nation's digital infrastructure.\n\nAnkara\, Ankara\
