DESCRIPTION:SmartEcoSign 2025 was a national-level hackathon that brought t
ogether young innovators to design\,innovate\, and sustain with technology
that is both impactful and eco-conscious. Organized by the Department of
Electronics Engineering (VLSI Design & Technology) in association with the
IEEEBIT Student Branch\, the hackathon carried the theme “Smart Everyth
ing: Tech for Next-GenApplications” and encouraged participants to build
solutions that merged sustainability with intelligent design. The event f
eatured four tracks:\n1. Electronics in Next-Gen Applications\n2. Code and
Circuit – The Co-Design Challenge\n3. Green Silicon – Sustainable Tec
h by Design\n4. GreenStack – Smart Software for Sustainable Impact.\n\nR
egistration and Submissions\nThe call for registrations drew a large respo
nse from colleges across the country. The final date for registration was
July 19th\, 2025. Following this\, participants submitted their initial co
ncepts in stages. The first draft submission was due on July 26th\, which w
as followed by a second draft submission on August 11th. The final idea su
bmission took place on August 15th. Each stage helped teams refine their p
rojects\, moving from problem statements and proposed solutions to prototy
pes that could be demonstrated in the finale.\n\nParticipation\nSmartEcoSi
gn 2025 began with over 42 teams that is close to 200 registered participa
nts. Through the multi-stage submission process\, this number was filtered
down\, and 32 teams comprising about 12students were shortlisted for the
final showcase. These students represented institutions from across\nIndia
\, with many travelling long distances to take part in this national-level
competition. Their diverse perspectives and innovative ideas reflected th
e spirit of collaboration and creativity that the hackathon sought to prom
ote.\n\nTimeline of the Finale\nThe grand finale was held on August 22nd\,
2025\, at the Dr. Ramegowda Seminar Hall\, Bangalore Institute of Technol

Guests of Honor – Mr. A\, Chairman\; Mr. B\, Principal\; Dr. C\, Dean of
Academics\; Dr. D\, Head of VLSI and ECE\; and Dr. Jalaja S\, IEEE Studen
t Branch Coordinator – inaugurated the event with the lighting of the la
mp. This was followed by a devotional song sung\, which created an auspici
ous atmosphere. The dignitaries then addressed the gathering\, motivating
participants with their inspiring words.\n\nOutcome and Results\nThe final
e witnessed the presentation of a variety of ideas that ranged from IoT-en
abled agriculture solutions and driver drowsiness detection systems to eco
-friendly cybersecurity tools and solar-powered devices. After two rounds
of intense competition\, the winners of SmartEcoSign 2025 were announced a
s follows:\n1. First Prize ( ₹13\,000/-) to team Vigil AI (DSCE)\n2. Sec
ond Prize (₹10\,000/-) to team Databaes (BMSIT)\n3. Third Prize (₹7\,0
