DESCRIPTION:The IEEE Computer Society Student Chapter\, Department of Infor
mation Science and Engineering\, JNN College of Engineering\, Shivamogga s
uccessfully organized an Industrial Visit to the U R Rao Satellite Centre
(URSC)\, Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO)\, Bengaluru on 4th Octo
ber 2025.\n\nThe primary objective of the visit was to bridge the gap betw
een classroom learning and real-world applications in space and satellite
technology. The program provided students with first-hand exposure to sate
llite design\, development\, integration\, and testing processes followed
at one of India’s premier space research centres.\n\nDuring the visit\,
students attended insightful technical sessions on satellite antennas\, or
bit prediction\, and satellite communication systems. The participants als
o witnessed live demonstrations of satellite manufacturing\, environmental
testing\, and quality assurance procedures essential for successful space
missions.\n\nThe visit coincided with World Space Week 2025\, offering st
udents a unique opportunity to interact with eminent scientists and expert
 s. Expert talks on “Space and Entrepreneurship” and “Astronomy as a
Driver of Technology and Inspiration” motivated students to explore care
ers in space research\, higher studies\, and innovation-driven entrepreneu
rship.\n\nOverall\, the industrial visit served as an enriching educationa
l experience that enhanced technical knowledge\, inspired curiosity\, and
strengthened students’ understanding of India’s growing contributions
 to space science and technology.\n\nSpeaker(s): Shri M. Sankaran\, \n\nAge
nda: \n• Departure from JNN College of Engineering\, Shivamogga and trav
el to Bengaluru\n\n• Arrival and registration at U R Rao Satellite Centr
e (URSC)\, ISRO\n\n• In-depth technical session on satellite antennas an
d orbit prediction techniques\n\n• Participation in the World Space Week
2025 inaugural program and expert lectures\n\n• Live demonstrations of
 satellite design\, manufacturing\, and testing facilities\n\n• Interacti
ve session with ISRO scientists and engineers on space technology and care
