 On October 21\, 2025\, the University of Brasília (UnB) hosted Girls.Comp
  Day\, a flagship event celebrating the 15th anniversary of the Meninas.Co
 mp Project. As the first initiative in Brazil dedicated to encouraging fem
 ale participation in Computing and STEM\, this milestone event brought tog
 ether students from 9 public schools across the Federal District to explor
 e careers in Computer Science and Engineering.\n\n-\nTarget Audience: K-12
  female students and the broader academic community.\n\n-\nScale: Particip
 ation from 9 different schools\, demonstrating the project’s deep integr
 ation with basic education.\n\n-\nLocation: CIC/EST Building\, Darcy Ribei
 ro Campus (UnB).\n\n-\nActivities: A full day (08:30 – 17:00) of hands-o
 n workshops in Artificial Intelligence\, Cybersecurity\, Robotics\, and Pr
 ogramming\, complemented by laboratory tours and inspirational talks led b
 y prominent women in technology.\n\nThe Meninas.Comp project (Computing is
  Also a Girl’s Thing!) has evolved from a local extension project into a
  national benchmark for gender diversity in technology:\n\n-\nThe &quot;Pipelin
 e&quot; Effect: Over 100 undergraduate students have acted as mentors. Several 
 current Master’s students at UnB began their journey as high schoolers w
 ithin this project\, proving its effectiveness in fostering long-term acad
 emic and professional persistence.\n\n-\nScientific Contribution: The proj
 ect has produced over 20 peer-reviewed papers presented at prestigious int
 ernational forums\, including IEEE\, ACM\, WIT\, and LAWCC/CLEI.\n\n-\nIns
 titutional Support: Organized in collaboration with the IEEE Computer Soci
