DESCRIPTION:H.A.R.D. Hack is San Diego’s largest hardware-focused hackath
on. Hosted annually by IEEE and Eta Kappa Nu (HKN) at UC San Diego\, H.A.R
.D. Hack provides college students with a wide range of hardware component
s and challenges teams to build projects in under 24 hours that can make r
eal-life impacts. At H.A.R.D. Hack\, we aim to provide our participants wi
th various advanced hardware components and high-quality community support
so that our next generation of engineers can better master system integra
tion skills. Students from multidisciplinary backgrounds collaborate to de
velop projects by integrating hardware and software to address real-life i
ssues. Our past projects include TrashBot\, which collects recycled bottle
s autonomously\, and EasyCare\, which assigns tasks based on the patient
’s brain waves. This year\, our theme is Home Improvement\, aimed at hav
ing participants make life around the house easier.\n\nLa Jolla\, Californ
