 welcomed the ExeCom members to the first Execom meeting of 2026\, acknowle
 dging the successful interactions during the IEEE Bangalore Section AGM.\n
 \n-\nPurpose: The primary agenda was to present the vision and strategy fo
 r the year 2026 and gather feedback from the team.\n\n3. CEDA Overview\n\n
 -\nIntroduction to CEDA: Sajal Mittal clarified that CEDA (Council on Elec
 tronic Design Automation) is a technical council formed in 2005\, not a so
 ciety. It focuses on EDA\, CAD tools\, and semiconductor design automation
 .\n\n-\nMember Societies: CEDA comprises seven parent societies\, includin
 g CAS\, Computer Society\, Packaging\, Electron Devices\, Antennas &amp; Propa
 gation\, and Solid-State Circuits.\n\n-\nBenefits: Membership is free for 
 anyone who is already a member of IEEE. Benefits include access to newslet
 ters\, sponsored events\, and flagship conferences.\n\n4. Vision and Strat
 egy 2026\n\nVision: To establish the CEDA Bangalore Chapter as a leader gl
 obally and attain the #1 position by the end of 2026.\n\nStrategic Targets
 :\n\n-\nMembership Growth: Target to increase membership from ~3\,000 to 9
 \,000 members (approx. 3x growth).\n\n-\nStudent Branches: Increase the nu
 mber of student branches from 13 to 25.\n\n-\nProfessional Members: Aim to
  double professional membership (currently 550).\n\n-\nDistinguished Lectu
 rer (DL): Goal to have at least one CEDA DL from the Bangalore Section.\n\
 nKey Focus Areas (Horizontals):\n\n-\nStudent Branches: Expand to Tier-2 &amp;
  Tier-3 cities and new districts (Mysore\, Mangalore\, North Karnataka).\n
 \n-\nIndustry-Specific Events: Leverage industry connections to organize r
 elevant programs and bridge the industry-academia gap.\n\n-\nMembership Dr
 ive: Actively promote CEDA membership benefits to colleagues and students.
 \n\n5. Execution Model &amp; Initiatives\n\nDouble Engine Event Model:\n\n-\nE
 ngine 1 (ExCom Driven): Each ExCom member is requested to organize at leas
 t one meaningful event during the year.\n\n-\nEngine 2 (Student Branch Dri
 ven): Aim for at least one event driven by student branches\, supported by
  a mentorship loop.\n\nExCom-Counselor Loop:\n\n-\nEach student branch wil
 l be mapped to one ExCom member who will serve as a mentor/point of contac
 t to guide them and ensure one or more events for this year.\n\nProposed E
 vent Diversity:\n\n-\nTechnical Certification Programs (approx. 4 months d
 uration).\n\n-\nIndustry-Specific Problem Solving (Hackathons/Challenges).
 \n\n-\nStartup Meetups and Investor Connects (Bridging startups with VCs/I
 ndustry).\n\n-\nWorkshops (RTL design\, Verification\, Layout).\n\n-\nSoci
 al Impact Events.\n\n-\nGlobal Collaboration (Joint events with internatio
