DESCRIPTION:Course Kick-off / Orientation 6:00PM – 6:30PM EDT\; Thursday\
, June 4\, 2026\n\nFirst Video Release\, Thursday\, June 4\, 2026. Additio
nal videos released weekly in advance of that week’s live session!\n\nLi
ve Workshops: 6:00PM – 7:30PM EDT\; Thursdays\, June 11\, 18\, 25\, July
 2\, 9\n\nRegistration Fees:\n\nIEEE Member Early Rate (by June 2): $190.0
0\n\nIEEE Member Rate (after June 2): $285.00\n\nIEEE Non-Member Early Rat
e (by June 2): $210.00\n\nIEEE Non-Member Rate (after June 2): $315.00\n\n
Early registration deadline is: Thursday\, June 2\, 2026\n\nDecision to ru
n/cancel course: Tuesday\, June 2\, 2026\n\nRegistration is open through t
he last live workshop date. Live workshops are recorded for later use.\n\n
Please click on the link below to complete a compliance form. This policy
is required to comply with U.S. export control laws and regulations.\n\nht
tps://dsp-coach.com/compliance-ieee\n\nPlease note: "If submission fails o
n your corporate network\, please submit from a personal device or non-cor
porate network.”\n\nCourse Information will be distributed on Wednesday\
, June 3 in advance of and in preparation for the first live workshop sess
ion. A live orientation session will be held on Thursday\, June 4\, 2026\n
\nAttendees will have access to the recorded session and exercises for two
months (until September 9\, 2026) after the last live session ends!\n\nTh
is is a hands-on course combining pre-recorded lectures with live Q&A and
workshop sessions in the popular and powerful open-source Python programmi
ng language.\n\nPre-Recorded Videos: The course format includes pre-recor
ded video lectures that students can watch on their own schedule\, and an
unlimited number of times\, prior to live Q&A workshop sessions on Zoom wi
th the instructor. The videos will also be available to the students for v
iewing for up to two months after the conclusion of the course.\n\nCourse
Summary\n\nThis course builds on the IEEE course “DSP for Wireless Commu
nications” also taught by Dan Boschen\, further detailing digital signal
processing most applicable to practical real-world problems and applicati
ons in radio communication systems. Students need not have taken the prior
course if they are familiar with fundamental DSP concepts such as the Lap
lace and Z transform and basic digital filter design principles.\n\nThis c
ourse brings together core DSP concepts to address signal processing chall
enges encountered in radios and modems for modern wireless communications.
Specific areas covered include carrier and timing recovery\, equalization
\, automatic gain control\, and considerations to mitigate the effects of
RF and channel distortions such as multipath\, phase noise and amplitude/p
hase offsets.\n\nDan builds an intuitive understanding of the underlying m
athematics through the use of graphics\, visual demonstrations\, and real-
world applications for mixed signal (analog/digital) modern transceivers.
This course is applicable to DSP algorithm development with a focus on mee
ting practical hardware development challenges\, rather than a tutorial on
implementations with DSP processors.\n\nNow with Jupyter Notebooks!\n\nSp
eaker(s): Dan Boschen \, \n\nAgenda: \nKick-off / Orientation: Thursday\,
