DESCRIPTION:ABOUT THE EVENT:\n\nThe Department of Electronics and Communica
tion Engineering (ECE)\, G. Pullaiah College of Engineering and Technology
(Autonomous)\, successfully organized an expert lecture titled “Augment
ing Human Intelligence with AI & Robotics in Industry 5.0” as part of ac
ademic and research enrichment activities. The session was conducted with
the objective of providing participants with a deeper understanding of how
artificial intelligence and robotics are transforming industrial systems
by enhancing human intelligence rather than replacing it.The lecture was d
elivered by Dr. Rajesh Kaluri\, Professor at Vellore Institute of Technolo
gy (VIT)\, Vellore\, a distinguished academician with 20 years of experien
ce in artificial intelligence\, robotics\, and intelligent systems. Dr. Ka
luri elaborated on the evolution of industrial revolutions from Industry 1
.0 to Industry 5.0\, emphasizing the shift toward human-centric\, ethical\
, and collaborative intelligent systems.During the session\, the resource
person discussed the role of AI and robotics in augmenting human capabilit
ies through decision-support systems\, collaborative robots\, emotional in
telligence\, and agent-based AI frameworks. He highlighted how advanced AI
techniques such as deep learning\, neural networks\, and multimodal commu
nication enable natural interaction between humans and machines. Practical
examples from academia and industry were presented to illustrate the real
-world impact of human–robot collaboration. The lecture also addressed em
erging research challenges and opportunities in Industry 5.0\, including e
thical AI\, workforce augmentation\, and sustainable automation. Dr. Kalur
i emphasized the importance of aligning technological advancements with hu
man values\, inclusivity\, and societal well-being. The session encouraged
participants to explore interdisciplinary research and innovation in AI-d
riven human–machine systems. The program witnessed active participation f
rom faculty members and students. An interactive question-and-answer sessi
on followed\, during which the resource person addressed queries related t
o research directions\, AI applications\, and career opportunities in Indu
stry 5.0. The interactive discussions significantly enhanced participants
’ understanding and research orientation.Overall\, the expert lecture se
rved as an excellent platform for academic enrichment and knowledge exchan
ge. The session contributed to strengthening participants’ awareness of
emerging AI and robotics technologies and their role in shaping the future
 of human-centric industrial systems.\n\nEVENT PICTURES:\n\nCONCLUSION:\n\
nThe expert lecture on “Augmenting Human Intelligence with AI & Robotics
in Industry 5.0” was highly successful and intellectually stimulating.
