DESCRIPTION:The IEEE Aerospace and Electronic Systems Society Jordan Sectio
n Local Group actively engaged in a regional scientific collaboration duri
ng the Seventh Middle East and Africa Regional IAU Meeting in Astronomy\,
MEARIM7\, which was successfully held at the University of Jordan Academy
from November 11 to November 13\, 2025. The conference was organized under
the theme Advancing Space and Astronomy Sciences for a Sustainable Future
\, highlighting the growing role of space and astronomical research in add
ressing global sustainability challenges.\n\nThe conference brought togeth
er a distinguished group of scientists\, researchers\, and experts from mo
re than thirty countries\, creating a high-level platform for knowledge ex
change and scientific dialogue. Representatives from leading international
space agencies\, including agencies from the United Arab Emirates\, Russi
 a\, China\, India\, Brazil\, and other countries\, contributed to discussi
ons on recent advancements\, emerging technologies\, and innovative resear
ch directions in space science and astronomy.\n\nThrough participation in
this regional conference\, attendees benefited from exposure to cutting-ed
ge research\, global scientific perspectives\, and interdisciplinary discu
ssions linking space exploration with sustainable development goals. The e
vent strengthened academic and professional connections across borders and
enhanced regional collaboration in aerospace and astronomical sciences.\n
\nThis engagement supported the IEEE AESS mission by promoting scientific
excellence\, encouraging international cooperation\, and expanding awarene
ss of the societal impact of space and astronomy research. It also contrib
uted to elevating the presence of IEEE AESS within high-level scientific f
orums and reinforced the chapter’s commitment to advancing knowledge\, s
ustainability\, and innovation in aerospace and electronic systems.\n\nAMM
