DESCRIPTION:PES members\, join us for a Utility company laydown yard tour\,
  Tuesday morning\, February 24th. Sponsored by Entergy\, we are visiting o
 ne of their laydown yards where large high voltage parts and equipment are
  staged for construction and emergencies. There will be all types of equip
 ment there\, including HV transformers\, MV cables\, linemen equipment\, a
 nd very important- mobile units (HV-MV transformer skid).\n\nWe will be jo
 ined by a dozen or so students from Texas A&M as part of our outreach with
  student chapters. Boxed lunch will be provided.\n\nThis will be a two hou
 r educational tour\, accounting for 2 technical PDH. All equipment will ha
 ve a nameplate\, which will state ratings. All ratings have definitions\, 
 and those deep consideration to the limitations of those definitions a goo
 d gateway to IEEE standards. This will be our first time hosting this tour
