DESCRIPTION:The AeroSpace and Electronics System Society at Amman Arab Univ
ersity successfully concluded an advanced hands-on workshop on fixed-wing
unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) manufacturing\, with the participation of mo
re than 40 students from the Faculty of Aviation Sciences and related disc
iplines.\n\nThe workshop was supervised by Mohamad Mufid Abu Amsha\, Chair
man of the AeroSpace and Electronics System Society\, and delivered by Moh
amad Abu Amsha\, Nawras Bin Tareef\, and Ahmad Yu. The program aimed to en
hance students’ practical engineering skills and bridge academic knowled
ge with real-world applications in aviation sciences.\n\nThroughout the wo
rkshop\, participants successfully manufactured six fully functional fixed
-wing UAVs. The training covered the electronic phase\, including wiring a
nd soldering electronic components\, installing the flight controller\, tr
ansmitter\, and receiver\, followed by the structural assembly of the fuse
lage and wings\, leading to full aircraft integration.\n\nThe workshop als
o focused on essential operational skills\, such as motor testing\, flight
operations\, and understanding the technical differences between fixed-wi
ng aircraft and multirotor drones. In addition\, students gained hands-on
experience in programming and configuring the UAVs’ electronic control s
ystems.\n\nThe workshop concluded with a closing ceremony attended by Male
k Al-Anqareh\, Dean of the Faculty of Aviation Sciences\, and Mousa Al-Akh
ras\, Chair of IEEE Jordan Section. Both emphasized the importance of hand
s-on and volunteer-based initiatives in equipping students with advanced t
echnical competencies and preparing them for the job market\, praising the
high level of coordination\, teamwork\, and the quality of the training o
 utcomes.\n\nSpeaker(s): Eng.Mohammad\, Eng.Nawras\, Eng.Ahmad\n\nRoom: I-1
