DESCRIPTION:Background:\n\nIEEE Atlanta AP/MTT recently received a grant to
run RF Basic Workshops with affordable RF kits for two years. This upcomi
ng workshop will teach young undergraduate students about antennas with a
pre-planned hands-on activity involving designing and building simple ante
nnas. The world of RF is vast and stems to various technical and research
fields. It is important to give young engineers early hands-on experience
and exposure to basic RF concepts.\n\nWho can participate?\n\nWe are looki
ng for volunteers with basic antenna/RF/wireless comms experience to help
lead groups of 4-6 students. The lesson plan/guide will be provided before
the activity! (This will also help the volunteers get a RF refresher them
selves.) Note\, the volunteer does not have to be a member of AP-S or MTT-
S to participate. (Any emag/RF/wireless enthusiast is welcomed!)\n\nWhere
and When?\n\nDate/Time: April 14\, 2026 (Tuesday\, 6:00-8:30PM)\n\nLocatio
n: 777 Atlantic Dr NW\, Atlanta\, GA 30332 (The HIVE Makerspace in the Van
Leer Building\, School of ECE)\n\nNote: We are tentatively trying to sche
dule a "dry-run" event for the volunteers to go over the lesson plan befor
e the actual workshop. More details on that dry-run TBA.\n\nParking Inform
