DESCRIPTION:The activity was organized by WIE IFBA Paulo Afonso as a welcom
 ing event aimed at new female students from the Electrical Engineering and
  Computer Science programs\, as well as high school students interested in
  STEM fields. The main objective of the meeting was to encourage female pa
 rticipation in engineering and technology by promoting an environment of s
 upport\, identification\, and exchange of experiences among the participan
 ts.\n\nThe event began with a presentation about IEEE Women in Engineering
  (WIE)\, addressing the group’s activities on campus and its importance 
 in encouraging female representation in the fields of science\, technology
 \, engineering\, and mathematics.\n\nFollowing this\, a lecture was given 
 by Professor Esdriane Cabral\, Calculus I instructor at IFBA Paulo Afonso\
 , who shared her academic and professional journey and discussed with the 
 students the challenges commonly faced at the beginning of undergraduate s
 tudies\, especially in subjects considered difficult by engineering studen
 ts.\n\nAn online lecture was also delivered by former student Michelle Mel
 o\, who shared her experiences during her studies at IFBA and spoke about 
 her professional path after graduation\, offering guidance and encourageme
 nt to the students in attendance.\n\nThe program also included the partici
 pation of biomedical engineer and creator of the Matemateca channel\, Este
 r Velasques\, through a video message directed to the students attending t
 he event. In her speech\, Ester shared words of encouragement with student
 s who were beginning subjects such as Calculus I\, emphasizing the importa
 nce of persistence and confidence throughout the academic journey in STEM 
 fields.\n\nDuring the event\, souvenirs were distributed to the participan
 ts\, raffles were held\, and a coffee break was offered at the end of the 
 program\, providing a moment of interaction among students\, speakers\, an
