DESCRIPTION:Generative AI tools are rapidly changing how students access kn
 owledge and complete academic tasks. While these systems offer unprecedent
 ed access to information\, they also challenge traditional educational mod
 els that rely heavily on evaluating student outputs such as essays\, repor
 ts\, and assignments.\n\nIn this session\, we will explore how AI is resha
 ping higher education and why simply banning or ignoring generative AI is 
 not a sustainable strategy. Instead\, we will introduce AI tutors as a new
  class of educational technology that integrates large language models wit
 h pedagogical design principles. Using WiseTutor as a real-world example\,
  we will demonstrate how AI systems can support teachers and students whil
