DESCRIPTION:Sub-Saharan countries are facing scarcity of water and vegetati
 on resources. Temperatures are very high and drought is gaining ground eve
 ry year destroying the efforts of these countries to achieve food self-suf
 ficiency. In addition to these natural constraints\, few years ago\, the i
 nsecurity due to terrorism limited the production and investment actions. 
 In this context\, reflection efforts are conducted to find innovative tech
 nologies or to adapt emerging technologies to this challenging context.\n\
 nMNE3SD aims to be a framework where researchers and experts will meet to 
 discuss development issues in this region. We want big data\, IoT and AI t
 echnologies combined with green energy and applied physics to be investiga
 ted to find original solutions able to mitigate the scarcity of the resour
 ces in this region of the world.\n\nThe MNE3SD conference is an internatio
 nal meeting for the exchange of experiences and knowledges among researche
 rs and developers concerned with technologies for Sahel’s sustainable de
 velopment. For this fifth edition\, the International MNE3SD conference wi
 ll provide opportunities for researchers to interact\, share new results a
