DESCRIPTION:[]\n\nA specialized delegation from the IEEE Universidad Distri
tal Student Branch participated in the "Bootcamp on Integrated Circuit Des
ign using Open-Source Tools\," organized by the IEEE Solid-State Circuits
Society (SSCS) Colombia Section. Hosted at the Universidad del Quindío in
Armenia\, this intensive program focused on democratizing microelectronic
s design through theoretical and practical sessions led by industry expert
s.\n\nOur members participated in the Digital Design Track\, which covered
the complete RTL-to-GDSII flow using open-source EDA (Electronic Design A
utomation) tools. The training included virtual preparatory sessions and h
ands-on workshops where participants explored digital synthesis\, placemen
t\, and routing. This experience provided our volunteers with rare and val
uable skills in chip design\, a field of critical importance for the semic
onductor industry. By attending this bootcamp\, the branch continues to st
rengthen its technical capacity in advanced hardware description and digit
al system integration.\n\nBogota\, Distrito Capital de Bogota\, Colombia
