DESCRIPTION:For our April meeting\, we are happy to welcome Zane Dunlap fro
m Schneider Electric to come speak on IECC 2024\n\nPresentation:\n\nThe 20
24 International Energy Conservation Code (IECC) is the latest model energ
y code published by the International Code\nCouncil (ICC). It establishes
minimum energy-efficiency requirements for residential and commercial buil
dings and was\ndeveloped using a consensus-based standards process led by
industry professionals. For engineers\, IECC 2024 increases\nemphasis on i
ntegrated system design\, performance-based compliance\, and documentation
. Approximately 7–8% improvement in energy efficiency compared to IECC 2
021\, with increased reliance on performance paths and system trade-offs.
This impacts Lighting\, electrical\, and mechanical systems.\n\nSpeaker Bi
o:\n\nZane Dunlap studied at North Carolina Agricultural & Technical State
University\, gaining valuable experience in the logistics\, sales\, marke
ting and customer relationships. While at Schneider Electric\, Zane excell
ed in one of our elite SDP programs\, with a specific focus on Sales. He s
upported our American Power Conversion product (APC) catalog and notably g
rew the region he supported by 25%. Zane has shown strong leadership quali
ties and a willingness to take on new challenges during his time at Schnei
der. He joined a newly funded organization within the Commercial Sales Ope
rations (CSO) BU\, where he supported SLED business for half of the countr
y. He is currently the Business Development Specialist for the Dallas area
.\n\nAs with all of our meetings\, we will be providing lunch. If you do n
ot pay online beforehand\, we will not be purchasing lunch for you. Please
reach out if there are any issues with payment and we will try to figure
it out prior to the meeting. In my experience\, Paypal is the easiest and
has had the least issues in the past.\n\nExcited to see everyone on the 21
