DESCRIPTION:How to Build an 8-Core Hyperthreaded Monster Computer on a Budg
et\n\nIt is hard to find a computer exactly the way that one wants and nee
ds just sitting on the shelf in a store. Some companies offer custom made
ones but with a price to match. Additionally\, no one source has all of th
e things that one would want. Quality becomes another issue as most people
shop with price as a major controlling factor so companies are parsimonio
us in procuring the components.\n\nDr Morantz has combined his Electrical
Engineering\, Computer Science\, Mathematics\, and good common sense to bu
ild an 8-core hyperthreaded monster computer with strong performance and r
eliability while working within a financial budget to fits his own needs a
nd desires.\n\nThis presentation covers this project from design phase to
completion. Advantages and disadvantages will be discussed along with sour
cing and assembly tips. This whole project took several months and has bee
n very rewarding\, both in having the computer that is needed and wanted\,
and being a learning process. Much knowledge and experience was gained wi
th this project. Dr Morantz will go through the steps explaining what he d
 id and why.\n\nSpeaker(s): Dr. Brad Morantz\, \n\nVirtual: https://events.
