DESCRIPTION:The Microelectronics Bootcamp: Microchip Design is an intensive
training activity organized by the IEEE Circuits and Systems Society (CAS
 S) Student Branch Chapter at Universidad Mayor de San Andrés\, aimed at i
ntroducing students to the fundamentals of microelectronics and ASIC (Appl
ication-Specific Integrated Circuit) design.\n\nThis activity is designed
to provide participants with a deeper understanding of semiconductor syste
ms by exploring the design process from the transistor level to system-lev
el architecture. During the session\, participants will be introduced to t
he ASIC design flow\, including layout design\, silicon optimization\, and
the use of modern electronic design automation (EDA) tools.\n\nThe progra
m is supported by the IEEE Open Silicon Initiative\, enabling selected des
igns to be considered for fabrication and allowing participants to validat
e their work in real hardware. This approach provides a unique opportunity
to bridge theoretical knowledge with practical implementation in microele
ctronics.\n\nThe event will take place on April 11th at K-Lab\, Faculty of
Engineering\, in La Paz\, Bolivia\, and is targeted at undergraduate stud
ents from Universidad Mayor de San Andrés pursuing degrees related to Ele
 ctronic\, Mechatronics\, or Electromechanical Engineering.\n\nThis activit
y aims to promote hands-on learning\, encourage interest in semiconductor
technologies\, and contribute to the development of local capabilities in
 integrated circuit design.\n\nCo-sponsored by: K-Lab Bolivia\n\nAgenda: \n
