A number of Lone Star Section members supports this program by serving as mentors for groups of students. The program is now in its second year and teams of 5 students each from St. Mary’s\, Trinity\, UTSA and TAMUSA are complet ing four exhibits that will form part of the Area21 experience. The exhibi ts include:\n\n- A flight simulator using an actual T-34C cockpit with rea l instruments and controls\n- A Lego city with 5 substations controlling p ower distribution demonstrating SCADA systems\n- A Laser display console t o allow visitors to control a laser show\n- Several STEMphones\, giant cel l phone replicas that demonstrate communication technology\n\nOn April 25 there will be an End of Project Demonstration and Graduation for the stude nts.
