DESCRIPTION:The IEEE Amman Arab University (AAU) Student Branch has officia
lly announced the launch of Astro Code 2026\, a national-level competition
designed to empower university students to develop innovative technologic
al solutions in the fields of space and advanced technologies.\n\nThe comp
etition is organized by IEEE AAU Student Branch in collaboration with seve
ral IEEE technical societies\, including IEEE AESS\, IEEE Computer Society
(CS)\, IEEE Computational Intelligence Society (CIS)\, IEEE Robotics and
Automation Society (RAS)\, and IEEE Engineering in Medicine and Biology So
ciety (EMBS)\, reflecting a strong multidisciplinary collaboration.\n\nAst
ro Code 2026 serves as a comprehensive platform that integrates multiple d
omains such as space systems\, artificial intelligence\, systems engineeri
ng\, software development\, biomedical applications\, sustainability\, and
scientific exploration. The competition aims to address national space-re
lated challenges by transforming them into practical and innovative soluti
ons led by university students.\n\nThe event is expected to attract more t
han 250 students from over 15 universities across Jordan\, forming around
40 teams\, fostering a competitive environment that promotes innovation\,
collaboration\, and technical excellence.\n\nThe competition features five
 main tracks:\n\n- AI & Space Software\n- Space Systems & Vehicles\n- Spac
e Software & Law Applications\n- Space Science & Exploration\n- Space Appl
ications\, Health & Sustainability\n\nIn addition\, a series of specialize
d pre-competition training sessions will be conducted under the supervisio
n of IEEE societies to equip participants with the required technical and
practical skills.\n\nThe competition will take place at Amman Arab Univers
ity on June 8–9\, 2026\, featuring a two-day program that includes an op
ening ceremony\, hackathon challenges\, panel discussions\, student debate
s\, a drone show\, and a space culture night\, followed by project present
ations\, judging\, and an awards ceremony.\n\nAstro Code 2026 represents a
significant step toward strengthening student innovation in Jordan and ad
vancing the role of IEEE in fostering technology-driven solutions aligned
with the future of space science and engineering.\n\nAgenda: \n- Opening C
eremony and welcome remarks\n- Introduction to Astro Code 2026 and competi
tion tracks\n- Start of hackathon challenges\n- Panel discussion on space
technologies\n- Student debate session\n- Aerial Drone & UAV Show\n- Astro
