DESCRIPTION:Large language models have given rise to a growing number of AI
  agent-based tools. Some users interact with LLMs mainly through chat inte
 rfaces\, and some might still be exploring how to deeply integrate AI agen
 ts into their research workflows. This talk will discuss how AI agents can
  help improve efficiency in academic research. It will start with what AI 
 agents are and how they assist with a series of tasks such as literature r
 eview\, coding\, editing\, presentation and document formatting. This talk
  will categorize the current landscape of mainstream AI agents\, along wit
 h useful techniques such as prompt engineering\, context engineering\, MCP
 \, Skills\, and multi-agent collaboration. Finally\, recent agent-based re
 search systems\, emerging trends in research workflows\, and the associate
