DESCRIPTION:The talk will start with a brief discussion on a core research
methodology—\nproposing New ideas to achieve Better results—to help gr
aduate students\nand junior faculty members accomplish more in their acade
mic and\nprofessional careers.\nThe primary focus of the presentation will
be the challenges and technologies\ninvolved in designing high efficiency
 \, high power-density 48V to 0.6V\, 2\,000A\nVoltage Regulator Modules (VR
Ms) for AI data center applications. It will\ncover both two-stage and sin
 gle-stage architectures for these high-current\nVRMs. More specifically\,
the talk will evaluate and compare technologies for:\n(1) 48V to 12V conve
 rsion\; (2) 12V to 0.6V conversion utilizing Buck and\nTrans-Inductor Volt
 age Regulators (TLVR)\; (3) switched-capacitor-based\nsingle-stage 48V to
 0.6V conversion\; and (4) transformer-based non-isolated\nsingle-stage 48V
to 0.6V conversion. The presentation will conclude with\nobservations and
suggested directions for future research topics in this field.\n\nSpeaker
