DESCRIPTION:Join us for an engaging “Meet the Researcher” session with
Dr Saul Delabrida\, visiting from Federal University of Ouro Preto (UFOP)\
, Brazil.\n\nIn this session\, students and staff will have the opportunit
y to interact with Dr. Delabrida\, ask questions about his research and ca
reer\, and enjoy a casual academic chat. Dr. Delabrida will also deliver a
lecture titled: “Emerging Technologies for Human Qualification: From Ed
ucation to Industry”.\n\nRegistration: IEEE and CASS members as well as
non-IEEE members are invited to [Register.](https://events.vtools.ieee.or
g/m/559432) IEEE members should include their IEEE Membership Number when
registering.\n\nAbstract: This talk explores how emerging technologies are
transforming human qualification from K–12 education to industrial trai
ning. It presents real-world applications combining Extended Reality (XR)\
 , Artificial Intelligence (AI)\, and early-stage Brain-Computer Interfaces
(BCI) to support learning\, skills development\, and safer training for c
omplex tasks. Framed within the evolution of industrial eras\, the talk hi
ghlights the central role of humans in increasingly digital and intelligen
t environments. Case studies from educational and industrial contexts illu
strate how immersive technologies enhance engagement\, accessibility\, and
practical skill acquisition. The talk concludes by discussing the potenti
al of neuroadaptive systems and arguing for a human-centered approach to i
nnovation\, where emerging technologies act as enablers of human potential
in the future of education and industry.\n\nWho Should Attend?\n\nThis ev
ent is open to all undergraduate and postgraduate students\, as well as st
aff members\, especially those interested in circuit and systems\, emergin
g technologies for human qualification\, and related areas.\n\nSpeaker(s):
Dr Saul Delabrida\n\nAgenda: \n14:00 (UTC+1) Welcome and introduction to
