DESCRIPTION:Metasurfaces and antennas have emerged as powerful platforms fo
r advancing wireless communications\, sensing\, and holographic display te
chnologies across the electromagnetic spectrum. This talk will highlight r
ecent developments and challenges in these areas\, with a particular focus
on open stopband issues in optical antenna designs. We will discuss the d
esign and implementation of long-wave infrared (LWIR) metasurfaces and mil
limeter-wave (mmWave) metasurfaces featuring optical transparency and seam
less thin-film integration. Special emphasis will be placed on enabling dy
namic amplitude and phase tuning for next-generation reconfigurable system
