 unding transformers. Grounding transformers are used throughout the power 
 grid as a means to provide protective relaying visibility of ground faults
 . However\, if installed incorrectly they can interfere with protection sc
 hemes\, create excessive fault current\, and allow excessive ground fault 
 overvoltage. The review will include the system conditions that require a 
 grounding transformer\, symmetrical component theory\, protection requirem
