DESCRIPTION:The event\, “The STAR Program”\, will be organized by IEEE
Women in Engineering (WIE) on 26th August 2026 at a Government Girls Senio
r Secondary School. The session will aim to promote interest in STEM field
s among students by introducing them to scientific concepts\, career oppor
tunities\, and engaging hands-on activities.\n\nHighlights will include:\n
\n- A Q&A session designed to encourage active student participation\, wit
h small rewards to enhance engagement and enthusiasm.\n- A creative scienc
e-based activity where students will build simple circuits and incorporate
them into innovative designs\, helping them develop both technical unders
tanding and creative thinking skills.\n\nThe event will conclude with proj
ect evaluations\, and the top-performing teams will receive certificates f
rom IEEE WIE. The session is expected to inspire curiosity\, confidence\,
and enthusiasm toward STEM learning among the participants.\n\nAgenda: \nT
he event will commence with a welcoming address by the IEEE WIE MSIT team
along with the school faculty\, creating an enthusiastic and interactive a
tmosphere for the participants. The session will begin with an introductio
n to the Science Brainer Activity and its objective of encouraging student
s to develop interest and confidence in STEM-related fields. Students will
be introduced to the importance of science\, technology\, engineering\, a
nd mathematics in everyday life\, along with the various career opportunit
ies associated with these fields.\n\nFollowing the introduction\, an inter
active quiz and discussion session will be conducted to encourage active s
tudent participation. Students will engage by answering science-based ques
tions\, sharing ideas\, and participating in short problem-solving activit
ies. Small rewards such as chocolates and stationery items will be distrib
uted to participants in order to make the session more engaging and enjoya
ble while also boosting their confidence.\n\nThe event will then move forw
ard with a simple hands-on science activity where students will work in te
ams to create basic scientific models and solve small logical challenges r
elated to STEM concepts. The activity will focus on encouraging teamwork\,
observation skills\, creativity\, and critical thinking in a fun and inte
ractive manner. Through this exercise\, students will gain practical expos
ure to scientific learning beyond textbooks.\n\nAs the session progresses\
, the students will present their models and ideas before the judges. The
projects and activities will be evaluated on the basis of creativity\, cla
rity of concept\, teamwork\, presentation\, and innovation. The best-perfo
rming teams will be recognized and awarded certificates by IEEE WIE for th
eir active participation and excellent performance.\n\nTowards the end of
the event\, a feedback session will be organized where students and teache
rs will share their experiences and thoughts regarding the program. The re
sponses are expected to reflect enthusiasm and increased interest among st
udents towards STEM education and related opportunities.\n\nOverall\, the
Science Brainer Activity will aim to create an inspiring and inclusive lea
rning environment that promotes curiosity\, creativity\, and active partic
ipation in STEM fields. The event is expected to motivate students to expl
ore science and technology with greater interest and confidence.\n\nBldg:
