 ode competition is a national hackathon that focuses on creating a multidi
 sciplinary platform for over 250 students from 15+ Jordanian universities 
 to tackle real national space challenges through applied solutions.\nFollo
 wing yesteryear&#39;s Incredible success\, this year&#39;s rendition continued on 
 its predecessor&#39;s footsteps by also being held on AAU&#39;s dorm. The event wa
 s supervised by the IEEE AAU Student Branch and was organized by the IEEE 
 Aerospace and Electronic Systems Society (AESS)\, IEEE Computer Society (C
 S)\, IEEE Robotics and Automation Society (RAS)\, IEEE Women in Engineerin
 g (WiE)\, and Engineering in Medicine and Biology Society (EMBS) Student B
 ranch Chapters at Amman Arab University.\n\nThe competition aimed to addre
 ss Jordan’s priority space challenges by advancing space science and app
 lications\, transforming these challenges into practical and innovative so
 lutions led by students from 17 universities across Jordan for an intensiv
 e 48-hour experience.\n\nThe competition aimed to address Jordan’s prior

 cements. All topics covered and represented by their respective IEEE stude
 nt societies in their pre-training sessions\; an effort by the branch&#39;s co
 mmunities to make sure the competition goes as smoothly as possible.\n\nTh
 e competition was split into five main tracks for participating teams to i
 ndulge in:\n\n- AI &amp; Space Software\n- Space Systems &amp; Robotics.\n- Space 
 Solutions &amp; Applications.\n- Space Engineering &amp; Exploration.\n- Space Hea
 lth &amp; Sustainability.\n\nEach of these tracks were carefully chosen to rep
 resent an area of expertise that was open to innovation contemporary solut
 ions that would greatly address all local and global needs.\n\nAstroCode 2
 026 was built on a fully collaborative model among participating IEEE tech
 nical societies\, each contributing its expertise by defining track specif
 ic challenges\, leading specialized training programs\, supervising partic
 ipating teams\, and supporting the competition’s organization and admini
 stration. This collective effort created a comprehensive framework that br
 idged academic knowledge with practical implementation\, fostering innovat
 ion\, teamwork\, and research aligned with Jordan’s future in space and

 -------------\n\n- Side activities:\n\nIn addition to the main hackathon\,
  AstroCode 2026 featured a slew of engaging activities.\nThese included:\n
 \n- Opening Ceremony &amp; Panel Discussion:\nA professional panel discussion 
 on space and space technologies\, featuring representatives from: -- Dr.Am
 mar sakaji – President The Jordanian Astronomical Society.\n- Dr. Hana S
 abat - Director of Scientific Affairs &amp;Training Of Regional Center for Spa
 ce Science and Technology Education for Western Asia.\n- Prof. Ahmad Bani 
 Younes – Head Of Pacecraft Platform for Astronautics and Celestial Emula
 tion Labratory In San Diego State University.\n\n- Esports Event:\nFun ice
 -breaker for participants to let out their competitor spirits in an engagi
 ng small-scale videogame tournament featuring some of the hottest games fr
 om the Esports scene.\n\n- Student Debate Session:\nA structured student d
 ebate between a team defending the engineering and mechanical perspective.
  And a team defending the technology and software perspective.\nThe debate
  was conducted by students from different IEEE student societies from all 
 participating universities.\n\n- Astronomical Observation &amp; Space Culture 
 Night:\nThe evening featured the following:\n- Astronomical observation us
 ing optical telescopes.\n- Advanced telescopes utilizing AI-based object r
 ecognition to identify celestial objects and planets.\n- Activities aimed 
 at promoting space culture and awareness among participants.\n\n-  Aerial 
 Drone &amp; UAV Show:\nA live aerial demonstration using drones and fixed-wing
  UAVs. As well as a showcase of aerospace applications and unmanned system
 s technology as part of the competition activities.\n\n-------------------
 --------------------------------------------\n\n- CS contribution:\n\nThe 
 competition consisted of five main tracks\, each containing 2–3 challeng
 es.\nEach track was supervised by a Track Advisor\, who oversees the track
 ’s challenges\, guides student teams\, and provides support during the h
 ackathon. The CS Student Chapter at AAU was advising (Track 3: Space Solut
 ions &amp; Applications).\n\nThe track focused mostly on software and technica
 l solutions\, the community&#39;s specialty.\nAnd consisted of these five chal
 lenges:\n\n- Mission on Earth: Inspire Jordan&#39;s Future Space Explorers:\n-
  Interactive Space Education Platform.\n- Drone &amp; Cubesat Regulations and
