 -------------------\n\nWhat is IEEE AP/MTT?\n\nIn Atlanta\, the local chap
 ters for the IEEE Antennas and Propagation Society (AP-S) and Microwave Th
 eory and Technique Society (MTT-S) are merged to form the joint AP/MTT cha
 pter. We are composed of members at various stages of their careers\, who 
 work and do research in various electromagnetics disciplines\, like antenn
 a design\, microwave circuits\, RF systems analysis\, etc. We welcome any 
 students\, young professionals\, researchers\, and senior engineers in Atl
 anta to join our joint-chapter and participate in our technical and servic

 ---------------------------\n\nAbstract: Metamaterials (MTMs) are syntheti
 c electromagnetic materials possessing unique properties not found in natu
 ral materials. Their introduction has spurred the creation of innovative c
 ircuits with enhanced components. One notable metamaterial-based design is
  the composite right/left-handed transmission line (CRLH-TL) leaky-wave an
 tennas (LWAs). These antennas offer continuous frequency-dependent beam sc
 anning from backfire to endfire with a true broadside beam. They also ensu
 re excellent impedance matching throughout their operational range\, using
  a straightforward feeding mechanism. The CRLH LWAs’ ability to map freq
 uency to space means unknown target locations can simply be pinpointed by 
 analyzing the spectral components of the returning wave. This paves the wa
 y for real-time detection\, with data acquisition speeds mainly determined
  by the signal source’s frequency sweep rate. The sensor’s field-of-vi
 ew is also expanded thanks to the wide scanning angle of CRLH LWAs. Such f
 eatures enable applications like swift 2-D beamforming\, expansive real-ti
 me remote sensing\, vital sign monitoring\, motion detection\, and microwa
 ve imaging. Additionally\, applying spatiotemporal modulation to CRLH LWAs
  can generate harmonic waves and enhance physical layer security\, promoti
