The initiative i s implemented in collaboration with the 2026 Interdisciplinary Seasonal Sc hool organized under the IEEE Sensors Council\, the IEEE Humanitarian Tech nologies Board (HTB)\, and the IEEE Signal Processing Society (SPS).\n\nTh e program brings together participants from different IEEE Societies and t echnical disciplines to explore emerging technologies and their practical applications in addressing regional development challenges. Key focus area s include signal processing\, smart sensors\, artificial intelligence (AI) \, the Internet of Things (IoT)\, photonics\, remote sensing\, environment al monitoring\, water resources management\, disaster risk reduction\, and climate resilience.\n\nThe interdisciplinary seasonal school will feature technical presentations\, expert-led sessions\, practical demonstrations\ , and discussions on emerging technologies and their applications. These a ctivities will provide participants with opportunities to exchange knowled ge\, strengthen technical skills\, and understand how engineering innovati ons can contribute to humanitarian development and sustainable solutions.\ n\nA key component of the initiative will be collaborative technical activ ities in which participants work in multidisciplinary teams to explore pra ctical challenges and develop innovative solution concepts. Through peer l earning\, technical mentorship\, and guided discussions\, participants wil l gain experience in applying engineering principles\, signal processing\, sensing technologies\, and AI-based approaches to real-world problems.\n\ nThe initiative will also promote professional networking\, mentorship\, l eadership development\, and engagement with experienced IEEE members.
