 l Omnibus\, the high-risk requirements for these systems have been deferre
 d\, and for AI embedded in machinery the requirements are being routed thr
 ough the Machinery Regulation rather than applied directly. Developers gai
 n more runway\, but not less responsibility. The harder question has simpl
 y moved to the front: when an autonomous system fails\, accountability res
 ts with a human\, not the algorithm — so where exactly does that respons
 ibility sit?\n\nIn this lecture\, Paul examines the accountability archite
 cture the Act demands and why it matters most for robotics and autonomous 
 systems. He will show how conformity assessment and a defensible governanc
