DESCRIPTION:Future 6G networks are expected to support not only communicati
on\, but also highprecision positioning\, sensing\, and radio imaging. Thi
s talk presents two complementaryparadigms for enabling such capabilities.
The first part focuses on phase-coherentdistributed apertures for integra
ted sensing and communication (ISAC). Moving beyondthe traditional bandwid
th-centric view of sensing\, we show how coherent processingacross distrib
uted infrastructure can provide major gains in localization accuracy\,dete
ction sensitivity\, and imaging resolution\, even under limited bandwidth.
We discusscoherent versus non-coherent fusion\, as well as key challenges
includingsynchronization\, calibration\, and deployment. The second part
explores Al-nativelocalization and sensing. We present recent work on radi
o digital twins for channelcharting in global coordinates\, foundation mod
els for localization\, and hybrid model-based/data-driven methods that com
bine physical structure with learned inference.Together\, these directions
illustrate how distributed apertures and Al may shape thefuture of 6G sen
sing systems.\n\nCo-sponsored by: xinwan LI\n\nRoom: CMIC Auditorium\, Bld
