DESCRIPTION:The IEEE Energy Industry Technical Immersion Trip is a flagship
  experiential learning activity organized by the IEEE Makerere University 
 Student Branch in collaboration with IEEE Young Professionals.\n\nUnder th
 e theme:\n\n&quot;From Classroom to Industry: Experiencing Uganda&#39;s Energy Infr
 astructure and Professional Practice\,&quot;\n\nthe activity seeks to bridge th
 e gap between theoretical engineering education and real-world industrial 
 practice by providing participants with firsthand exposure to Uganda&#39;s pow
 er generation infrastructure through a technical visit to the 183 MW Isimb
 a Hydropower Plant.\n\nThe programme will feature technical presentations 
 by practicing engineers\, guided facility tours\, interactive discussions\
 , career conversations with IEEE Young Professionals\, and networking oppo
 rtunities aimed at enhancing participants&#39; understanding of hydropower sys
 tems\, plant operations\, professional engineering practice\, and career p
