DESCRIPTION:Abstract\n\nThis talk will introduce AI tools and techniques th
at can be used to assist in\nsystem design\, from concept to implementatio
n. Specifically\, this\npresentation will show how AI can be used to augme
nt and accelerate\ndesign within a systems engineering framework\, illustr
ated using an\nexample system.\n\nOur Speaker\n\nJim Cale is an Associate
Professor at Colorado State University (CSU) in\n\nthe Systems Engineering
Department\, with joint appointment in the\n\nElectrical &amp\; Computer
Engineering Department. Since joining CSU in 2017\, he has performed resea
rch and taught courses in energy\, power\, and system design. He currently
serves as Chair of the IEEE High Plains\n\nSection and faculty advisor fo
r the Colorado Delta Chapter of Tau Beta Pi.\n\nHe has also served in vari
ous industry roles including Chief Technology\n\nOfficer at Moser Energy S
ystems\, principal engineer and group manager at the National Laboratory o
f the Rockies\, and senior roles at Advanced\n\nEnergy Industries and Orbi
tal ATK. He is a Senior Member of IEEE and a\n\nmember of Phi Kappa Phi\,
Tau Beta Pi\, and Eta Kappa Nu.\n\n[]\n\nSpeaker(s): \, Jim\n\nAgenda: \n6
