 ood sensing modality. Thanks to recent advances in hardware development\, 
 it will soon be possible to digitize touch at scale. This creates importan
 t opportunities for both basic research and applications\, such as robotic
 s. In this context\, it is increasingly important the role of Touch Proces
 sing – the science of making sense of touch through the use of machine l
 earning.\n\nThe Touch Sensing and Processing Summer School (TSPSS) aims to
  provide a stimulating opportunity for young researchers and Ph.D. student
 s to participate and benefit from direct interaction and discussions with 
 world leaders in touch sensing and processing. Participants will also have
  the possibility to present the results of their research\, and to interac
 t with their scientific peers\, in an informal and constructive environmen
 t.\n\nAll participants\, including speakers\, at TSPSS 2026 will be hosted
  at the [Jugendgästehaus Liebethal](https://www.jugendgaestehaus-liebetha
 l.de/) just outside of Dresden\, from 23-28 August 2026.\nThe registration
  fee for this year will be 550Euro and will include accommodation\, meals 
 and social activities throughout the summer school.\nAccommodation is prov
 ided in same-sex shared rooms. Only for exceptional cases\, we might be ab
