DESCRIPTION:Abstract:\n\nThe talk will present a universal approach for cal
culating the power transfer efficiency (PTE)\, maximum power transfer effi
ciency (MPTE)\, and conditions for achieving MPTE for arbitrary multiple i
nput (or transmitters) multiple output (or receivers) wireless power trans
fer (MIMO-WPT) systems. The PTE\, also known as the RF efficiency\, betwee
n M transmitters and N receivers\, is precisely formulated using the equiv
alent M+N port S-parameters circuit network as the Rayleigh quotient. Acco
rdingly\, the MPTE is achieved by calculating the eigenvalue of the genera
lized Rayleigh problem that has been formulated. The effectiveness and uni
versality of the proposed method are demonstrated through highlighting the
MPTEs of single transmitter single receiver (SISO) and multiple transmitt
ers single receiver (MISO) among many applications. Several potential appl
ications of the proposed approaches are introduced based on the MPTE perfo
rmance of the MISO system.\n\nSpeaker(s): Prof. Qiaowei Yuan\, \n\nRoom: 4

he talk will present a universal approach for calculating the power transf
er efficiency (PTE)\, maximum power transfer efficiency (MPTE)\, and condi
tions for achieving MPTE for arbitrary multiple input (or transmitters) mu
ltiple output (or receivers) wireless power transfer (MIMO-WPT) systems. T
he PTE\, also known as the RF efficiency\, between M transmitters and N re
ceivers\, is precisely formulated using the equivalent M+N port S-paramete
rs circuit network as the Rayleigh quotient. Accordingly\, the MPTE is ach
ieved by calculating the eigenvalue of the generalized Rayleigh problem th
at has been formulated. The effectiveness and universality of the proposed
method are demonstrated through highlighting the MPTEs of single transmit
ter single receiver (SISO) and multiple transmitters single receiver (MISO
) among many applications. Several potential applications of the proposed
approaches are introduced based on the MPTE performance of the MISO system
