DESCRIPTION:This SSIT online event will feature the main talk by Dr Andre O
 boler from the Online Hate Prevention Institute\, followed by a panel disc
 ussion with speakers from the co-sponsoring organisations: the Antisemitis
 m Policy Trust\, Tell MAMA\, IEEE SSIT\, and the Defence &amp; Strategy Circle
 .\n\nThe main talk will focus on online hate\, how it is measured\, what r
 easonable societal expectations are\, how recent corporate decisions have 
 reduced protections in recent years\, and how national security is impacte
 d by state actors using hate speech and disinformation as an information w
 arfare tactic to damage social cohesion in other countries. Data on antise
 mitism and Islamophobia after October 7 2023 will be presented\, along wit
 h more recent trends in antisemitism as presented to the Royal Commission 
 in Australia\, and discussion on misogyny from a forthcoming report into o
 nline violence against women. The talk will explore how we advance technol
 ogy for humanity\, rather than allowing it to be weaponised to spread divi
