 PACT 26 (Innovative Methods in Pedagogy\, Assessment\, Competency and Teac
 hing)\, the Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC) of P.A. College of Engi
 neering organized an insightful technical session on &quot;OBE Essentials for F
 aculty&quot; on 22nd June 2026 at 10:00 AM in the Multi-Purpose Hall. The sessi
 on was delivered by Mr. Vittal Bhat M.\, Assistant Professor\, Department 
 of Electronics and Communication Engineering\, who served as the resource 
 person for the inaugural day of the program. The objective of the session 
 was to familiarize faculty members with the fundamental concepts and imple
 mentation strategies of Outcome-Based Education (OBE)\, which forms the co
 rnerstone of contemporary engineering education. The resource person provi
 ded a comprehensive overview of OBE principles\, emphasizing the formulati
 on of Program Educational Objectives (PEOs)\, Program Outcomes (POs)\, Cou
 rse Outcomes (COs)\, and their effective mapping to ensure measurable stud
 ent learning. The session also highlighted the importance of constructive 
 alignment between curriculum design\, teaching methodologies\, learning ac
 tivities\, and assessment practices to achieve desired educational outcome
 s. Participants were introduced to best practices in preparing course plan
 s\, designing competency-based assessments\, evaluating attainment levels\
 , and utilizing continuous improvement mechanisms to enhance academic qual
 ity. Real-life examples and practical demonstrations enabled faculty membe
 rs to understand the effective implementation of OBE within their respecti
 ve departments and encouraged them to adopt learner-centric and outcome-or
 iented teaching practices. The interactive discussions and question-and-an
 swer session provided an excellent opportunity for participants to clarify
  their understanding of accreditation requirements and the role of faculty
  in maintaining academic standards. Faculty members actively engaged in th
 e deliberations\, sharing their experiences and exploring innovative appro
 aches to improve curriculum delivery and assessment. Overall\, the session
  served as a strong foundation for the subsequent activities of IMPACT 26\
 , equipping faculty members with essential knowledge and practical skills 
 to implement Outcome-Based Education effectively\, thereby strengthening t
