 ITM in association with IEEE SIGHT Mangalore Subsection organized an activ
 ity titled “Basics of Arduino and its Applications” at Govt. High Scho
 ol\, Volakadu\, Udupi on 08 July 2026 by the students of SMVITM\, Bantakal
 \, Udupi. The session aimed to introduce school students to the fundamenta
 ls of the Internet of Things and provide practical exposure to real-world 
 applications through an engaging hands-on learning experience.\n\nThe prim
 ary objective of the activity was to familiarize students with Arduino-bas
 ed systems and enable them to understand the development of simple IoT app
 lications. Another important objective was to demonstrate working project 
 models\, including a line follower robot and basic robotic systems\, there
 by helping students visualize the practical implementation of embedded and
  IoT technologies.\n\nThe session was conducted by Ms. Prerana\, Mr. Shiva
 m\, Mr. Poornananda\, and Ms. Shreya. They explained the architecture of t
 he Arduino Uno board\, Arduino IDE\, basic programming concepts\, and digi
 tal/analog input-output operations. Students were also introduced to the a
 pplications of Arduino in robotics\, automation\, smart homes\, healthcare
 \, and agriculture.\n\nThe workshop included live demonstrations and hands
 -on activities such as LED blinking and sensor interfacing\, enabling stud
 ents to gain practical experience in programming and electronic circuit de
 sign. The participants actively engaged in the activities and interacted e
 nthusiastically with the resource persons.\n\nThe workshop successfully en
 hanced students&#39; understanding of Arduino and inspired them to explore STE
