 ite systems that the orbits are secured through an international framework
 . The seminar will introduce the International Telecommunication Union pro
 cedures that nations should follow to ensure interference free satellite o
 peration. At a high level the technical elements of the process will be di
 scussed. We will also briefly look at challenges faced by the regulatory r
 egime. Fundamental knowledge of satellite communication is expected.\nBio:
 \nDr Tharaka Dissanayake is a Chartered Professional Engineer with over 17
  years of experience in government and academia\, specialising in RF syste
 ms\, satellite communications\, and spectrum engineering. He has supported
  Australia’s space and communications capability through technical leade
 rship\, major program support\, and the evaluation of advanced spectrum ma
 nagement tools. Tharaka has contributed to ITU satellite regulatory work s
 ince 2015\, presenting studies that support long term spectrum sustainabil
 ity. He holds a PhD in Electronics\, has published in IEEE Transactions an
 d book chapters\, and previously developed innovative RF hardware for biom
