 tionship between government and the space sector\, drawing on my experienc
 e working within the Australian Space Agency and subsequently in the priva
 te sector. It examines the different roles and incentives of politicians\,
  public servants and industry\, and how these relationships shape governme
 nt policy\, investment and national capability. The seminar considers why 
 Australia’s early ambition in space has struggled to translate into sust
 ained government commitment\, including the institutional\, political and 
 strategic factors that contributed to this outcome. It concludes with less
 ons for industry and government on how to build more durable\, credible an
 d strategically aligned government–industry relationships in Australia
 ’s space sector.\n\nBio:\n\nAnntonette Dailey is the Chief Executive of 
 Aviation Aerospace Australia\, an inclusive purpose-led organisation commi
 tted to the sustainability of the aviation\, aerospace and space sectors i
 n Australia. Anny is a fellow and chartered executive engineer and brings 
 more than 20 years senior executive capability\, well known in the nationa
 l security\, engineering\, space and aviation sectors. She has ministerial
  appointments to the Defence Council of Victoria\, and the Australian Rese
 arch Council. She is also on the Board of the Space Industry Association o
